I’ve had an account on a Mastodon server for a couple of years and have read people’s toots saying how terrible spinster is and thought I have to check it out. I wasn’t aware of how huge and pervasive the trans craze is until I started using Mastodon and noticed every second person on there is an enbie or something. I also didn’t realise how paranoid and censorious they were until I read all the crazy arguments about whether whole servers should be defederated because someone shared an article by Jesse Singal!

Now my daughter’s two best friends in primary school are using “they” pronouns and I just can’t avoid the madness any longer..
