@thegreatape @coolboymew Whatever the cause, it’s real. During my time on Tumblr, I saw a mom who was an avid SonAmy shipper. She looked about how you’d expect.
SonAmy is the archetypical toxic ship from what I’ve seen and what my instincts tell me. If only Sonia wasn’t his sister or whatever. Or go for Sally. Literally anybody but Amy. She is solid “die alone” material and I think that, combined with her relational tocicity, is why so many Tumblrite females identify with her and the ship.
