@sneeden @creamqueen @a7 I don't fully buy the "open the door" argument because it's clear this is what mainstream sites are going towards anyway. For most people, giving a phone number is no different than a government id.

Porn is the one and only thing that this SHOULD be applied to. I think that's why people are okay with it. Internet is trying to be a locked down walled garden anyway. It's a pleasant surprise that there's at least a few people in government not trying to actively push porn to every 4 year old's ipad
