The unicorn traveled along for a while, growing more and more tired. She traveled through several portals into different spaces and times. Then she came to ours, and saw our lovely moon, large and round and full.
She saw other unicorns there, also, and the moon's magic allowed her to land, at last!
"Welcome!" neighed the old stallion. "I see you got tricked with those same shoes."
"Yes!"
"They will become a part of the moon, shortly, and you will get a nicer pair here that allow for flight and landing, though honesetly we just use the moonbeam bridges to move around between moon and planet."
"Oh!"
"Except, of course, when children want rides from us. Then it's a matter of willing yourself to fly and to land. It's much easier when a child is on your back. They know no limits, you know, so it's much easier for them to help."
She waited for the first wish to come, and when it did she went down to the land.
That is how I got my one precious unicorn ride.
