see shy jo@johns hm.. as a concrete example, when github changed their TOS to claim a license grant to all software uploaded to it (by the copyright holder presumably), I immediately deleted all my mirrors of my software from github.
My hope is that github does not have an additional license to my software, because I did not publish any software there under the new ToS.
