@kaia@brotka.st Yeah anything super popular among average consumers just tends to be the things that produce way too much bass.
You should look into reference headphones or things that have a decently flat frequency response (although in-ears can't be flat because it circumvents the natural EQ of the ears so even perfectly flat in-ears will sound weird IIRC). Most ears tend to be more sensitive around the mid-range but flat headphones are still better because music is usually mixed and mastered with that in mind.
