He's just like the average "skeptic" STEM bro who left religion but didn't do any intellectual or personal legwork beyond that. The Moral Landscape is the best example of this. Dude claims to "derive morality from science" and A) it's the most vague, meaningless morality possible and B) it doesn't work and he'd know that if he had more than a passing familiarity with philosophy.
