@YKantRachelRead I think another possible reason why a lot of leftists tend to just dismiss liberals out of hand with a lot of resentment, even if we don't think they're fascist, is because liberals tend to have *really annoying* brainworms. They're often filled with extremely ingrained assumptions about how things do/should work and stick to them in a very condescending, dogmatic, holier than thou way, where anyone who disagrees with them is just a little kid who needs to grow up, and so it can be really frustrating trying to communicate with them at all about stuff like voting and democracy and whether the state is justified. They'll just constantly parrot the same old facile thought-terminating cliches like "tacit consent" and the "social contract" and "the majority will always be morally/factually correct in the long run therefore majoritarian democracy good" or whatever and then get really fucking annoying when you try to argue with them. Think West Wing.
