Crazy Ex-Girlfriendi don't mean this in a critical way but just as a general question: do you think the entire concept of a ‘gun club’ reifies the attitude you're objecting to here? like... could we imagine a way to do what a gun club does without making it specifically about guns? are people already doing this?
