@Transportist @bambul Absolutely, there was a strong case for Metro West having additional stations when it was first planned.
The problem is, at this point, the project is well and truly underway. Land has been compulsorily acquired and cleared at most of the other station sites. I understand the tunnelling machines are already in the ground.
Making late charges to a project that's already underway is a pretty surefire way to ensure that project ends up with delays and cost overruns.
Likewise, given how much work has progressed, cancelling the project at this point is a great way to create a multi-billion-dollar disused tunnel under Sydney.
