As a feminist, unionist, Minister for Disability and Mental Health, anti-racist, trans ally; I cannot continue to use Twitter.

What has been an important platform for modern political discourse; has turned into a cesspit where people are vilified without protection, misinformation is perpetuated, and far-right agitators and conspiracists are enabled to marinade in their own echo chamber of hate.
