If you buy music as directly from an artist as possible, say at bandcamp, the compensation is enormous compared to streaming. A $10 album sale directly is the equivalent of over 300 Spotify album streams (3000 song streams). A $20 vinyl over 600, etc.

I too use streaming servives, but I’ve been trying to be more congnizant of the disparity both as an artist and fan. I try to buy things directly once I decide I like something. #MusiciansOfMastodon #Musodon
