What happens in reality is that big corpos not so much are nationalised, as they merged into the governments, effectively giving their former owners government-like powers.

Which is why commies are notorious for being against unions, being against violently seizing the means of production with no compensation for the owners while simping for the big capitalists when they buy their way in the goverment. In fact their movement is notorious for being loved by large capitalists, so much so that they make up the bulk of it.
