@inthehands I hate the local and federated timelines. They facilitate so much bad behavior in the form of policing what ppl say, both by rulemakers who don't want their users seeing "inappropriate" things there, and karens who patrol the feeds for people they think they should educate.

Mastodon would be so much better without them.

Defaulting post privacy to unlisted would be a good start, but penalizes folks' relative reach (since others are getting reach there).
