The problem I have with so much of the Vintage scene is that there's a divide between people who save and collect openly and those that place it behind a wall.

yes, vintage stuff is commofified now. That's the effect of widespread cheap data storage. Dude really should have gone and put the whole index up on archive.org and/or mac garden.
