This poor soul thinks that passing on interpretive sovereignity to so-called authorities that he trusts is the right thing to ddo. They make themselves trusted, because they all sound the same, and they tell it like it is, so he becomes afraid, and the fear is good. Fear is the new gold. Humans have fear for the future, and they trade any fictitious future that is better for the most insanely terrible now. He might at some point realize that that fear is great for business. Not only the military industrial complex works with fear, these days most novelty products use fear as the main driver, if he ever catches on that it's a novelty product and not just a terrible, terrible, global crisis that nobody could avert. Of course they hide behind the intentionally confusing reportng in the media to keep him distracted from the fact that all there ever was is a huge cash cow that's being milked. He is the cash cow, and they're milking his future, but he thinks it's for the better, because everyone has to suffer from the globally distributed distractions.
