Impersonation of witchcraft/pagan authors and creatives is rampant on Instagram, and their Support team does little to remove these accounts. There have been multiple news articles written about the impersonation problem:

Meta owns Instagram and Thread, so I imagine it's only a matter of time before the impersonation begins over there.

So, if you've been thinking about joining Thread to kickstart your tarot business, your astrology page, or share links to your blog...watch out for identity thieves.

And if you're a consumer of spiritual goods and services, use discernment before giving your payment info or money to anyone, even if they have a familiar profile picture or username.
