@nightowl THIS. I wish more people understood that maintaining extant downloaded versions of *anything* is the only way to preserve it. Strict obedience to copyright systems and only accepting things you're not allowed to own a permanent copy of ensures they will disappear, with *no* way of ever accessing them again.
While, if you *have* the file(s) somewhere on a media where they can be retrieved, you have a primary copy. Original design before any AI-design remakes, pre-censorship (even in the cases where the censorship is good/necessary, it's important to at least document that it happened and WHY it was), etc etc.
