Annika Backstrom@MediaActivist I think 10 people would give you 10 different answers, but maybe: you can know everyone on a Small server (a few dozen people), you can feel like part of a larger community on a Medium server (a few hundred), a team can effectively moderate a Large server (a few thousand?). Past that it gets unwieldy and you get all the moderation problems we expect from huge commercial social networks. Would love to hear other perspectives on this!
