When was the last time you looked upon the face of god exactly?

It takes enormous effort for a human to see beyond the material world and recognise absolute truth. Every religion recognises this.

And to go back to the original argument we're discussing whether christianity introduced some special concept of truth that made scientific thinking possible. In this case the concept of a hidden truth which requires effort and deduction to uncover is perfectly compatible with that type of philosophical inquiry.
