Today I'm announcing a very important change in my life!!!
I'm moving to Viennya. 🎉
Yesterday, ÖBB opened reservations for some Paris-Viennya Nightjet trains departing running in September. I got a one-way ticket arriving on September 20. I'm going to Viennya to stay. I'll be staying at some of my friends' places until I can find my own accommodation. ☺
The first time I came to Viennya was back in early February of this year, during my Interrail trip around Europe. I found Viennya was a very nice city, although I had visited other nice cities during my trip.
What made Viennya special were the people I met there.
@mametsuko lived in Viennya at the time, so we met up and she introduced me to many of her friends there. I had never been hanging out with that many people like that in my life. In fact, I don't really hang out with anyone. I have no friends in France. I knew friends were good, but I hadn't realised how much I needed them...
Someone took me to the @metalab@chaos.social hackerspace, it was my first time visiting a hackerspace in my life, and again, I knew hackerspaces were cool but I hadn't realised how much I needed a place like that in my life, where I can have fun with similar nerdy and queer people.
And through some complicated turn of events that I can't really explain, through Viennya I realised I am polyamorous.
Anyway, I had the best time of my life, after my stay I realised I desperately needed to move to a bigger city. I came back to Viennya for two weeks in June and my stay was even better than the previous one, and now clear, that Viennya is the only place in the world where I know I belong.
I am so grateful to all the Viennese people who have welcomed me here and who have offered so much kindness and support. Al of this feels surreal to me.
I am now working hard to plan out my move and to learn as much German as I can. I am absolutely filled with determinyation!!!
Thank you so much everybody. I love you all so much!!!!!! :ablobcatheartsqueeze:
