    Jacoby is a trans man who is trying to get his family, including his kids, out of #florida by June 30th. They need money to help afford the security deposit and first month's rent for an apartment in a sanctuary state. He has been #homeless before and is trying to avoid having that happen again. This risked foiling the entire travel plan and stranding him and his family in #florida Thankfully, the brilliant team of volunteers helping him has been working on it all afternoon to keep things on track. We were able to MacGyver a solution, but it involved one of the volunteers loaning him $1k of their own money to hire a driver on short notice The original budget was met, but between this and the movers overcharging, Jacoby still definitely needs more money to cover all his expenses That said, you are fucking miracle workers.       Hey folks, I've got another update on Jacoby and his kids. They could still use funds quickly, so consider donating at this link: https://gofund.me/ed2121d9 We had arranged for Jacoby to be transported by someone we knew to be safe. However, Jacoby decided he wasn't comfortable taking a ride from a stranger with his kids. That's understandable, although unfortunately it means he is still in #florida. His landlord agreed to let them stay at their apartment for the weekend, which has bought us a few days. Jacoby and the team are working on arranging him a different rental. He has made a reservation and we may have managed to negotiate a reduced price. We are now focusing on making sure Jacoby can start his journey safely. I'm sorry this has been so chaotic. I posted art and declared victory too early in the process.
