- past expiration date: yes if it looks good and doesn't smell bad nor taste bad
- way past expiration date: yes, see above, mostly for frozen goods.
- stale breads: yeah as long as it's not rock solid
- moldy breads: if it's just a small spot then yes but i cut the spot out.
- alien lifeforms: no
- expired cofe: yes but unintentionally, like "wait a minute this tastes BAD"
