The real damning criticism is that they were uncreative jewy hacks full of hubris who poorly reinvent solutions to problems that have already been solved disregarding past expertise outside of their dot-com circlejerk / discord polycule / buzzfeed hamilton slacks. The "disrupt" fads of 2010's that gave us shittier food delivery (grubhub, doordash, hello fresh) shittier hotels (airbnb), shittier taxis (uber, lyft), shittier meal replacement (soylent, huel)

But at least we can do them from an app on our rapidly depreciating smartphones
