Melissa GIf we frame the hiring of LGBTQ actors as "diversity", we are doing the actors a disservice. LGBTQ actors should be able to play non-LGBTQ roles as well as explicitly LGBTQ roles. Straight actors have this freedom.
The inclusion of LGBTQ actors in a project is not "woke". They are not part of any agenda. They are actors, portraying characters. To say otherwise is to be implicitly arguing for bias and discrimination in the hiring process.
