- Embed this notice@clayvaulin Just because you run malware in a VM doesn't mean that you're not running malware.
With VMs, hypervisors and sandboxing, the wisest choice is to use them, but assume that they don't work - considering the endless sandbox escapes and hypervisor bypasses.
At least without an internet connection, the malware is unlikely to be able to get you (unless you've managed to attract the attention of a 3 letter agency), but you still don't have freedom.
Regardless, the only justified reason to run malware if it that's required to write a free software replacement of it and once that's done, such malware is best deleted.
