The US was built on slave labor. Even today, almost 1% of the US population is in prison, and most are working unpaid labor while there. 3% of the US population is illegal immigrants, who work without worker's rights.
China has a problem with slave labor, too. The Uyghur work camps.
Asia in general is exporting slave labor TO THE US. Watched a video about how ever since California legalized growing weed, they've had problems with unlicensed weed farms popping up, and all of the workers are slaves from 3rd-world asian countries like Burma.
Sex trafficking in Nevada is rampant, mostly asian slaves who don't speak English. Non-sex slave workers too, working illegally for the gangs.
Not to mention asian slave labor in UAE/dubai etc.
I feel like "don't do slavery" is a core principle of democracy, and democracy is getting owned right now.
