I think y'all are big enough adults to hold two ideas in your head at once; I don't think that "this fucking guy is an awful dogshit fascist pig fucking around in global politics" and "we have a lotta fascists because this society breeds fascists" are ideas that contradict each other at all.

I think a lotta people who liked working with/for dogshit fascists, and would simply prefer it be someone less embarrassing than Trump, have a vested interest in keeping you from realizing these two ideas are not in opposition to each other.
