I don't know where to go rant about this but it pisses me greatly it seems like people forget the concept of having statically linked binaries exists. I know it's already been said 1000 times and more by annoying nerds but I'll say it too; it's so weird people in the Linux space say widely adopting Flatpaks is the future, eliminating the redundant work of distro packagers each packaging the same thing and easing the work of backporting software to old LTS releases, when a decade ago they were refusing working in such a way to adopt statically linked binaries for reasons which today they are willing to sacrifice with Flatpak(and similar technologies ig).
But hey another day of scratching a chin with the hand around the head in the software space, as the usual.
