USA and tech and unions: so it's easy to see why it's really, really not a given. I keep seeing stories on my timeline of horrible employer to employee abuse, and I keep thinking "that's the point where I contact my local union bureau" while reading those stories, like at several steps, often by the first sentence. But the stories never lead there. Instead it goes to legal counsel. Which is supposed to be provided free of charge by union membership.
