There's an Interesting arms race on between marketing "dark pattern" manipulation and the human brain.
I was getting Feedly to party like it's 2008 with RSS blogs. There was Feedly with a bright colored icon and inviting marketing text and Feedly Classic with grey icon.
Modern tech trained me to look for the uninviting grey of "we don't want you to do this because it is better for you and worse for us," so I didn't even think twice before going for Classic.
