There's a fallacy that being vegetarian/vegan avoids the mass killing of animals but it isn't true
In vegetable farms, farmers have to kill every single bird, every mouse, every deer, every piece of wildlife in order to protect the crop. A sheep got in my garden for 20 minutes and now it's ruined.
Millions of animals have already died today in order to protect wheat, soy, corn, strawberry, literally any cultivated crop. None of those get eaten, they completely go to waste.
It's rather naive to take that position.
