While the term "woke" is being overused by right wing politicians and center right grifters, the point I think people on my side of the political aisle is that there's a strong left wing clique in both the private and public sectors that's trying to control as much as possible, and it's toxic as fuck since they try to get people fired for making a sexist joke to their friends on their private twitter accounts. You can make the argument that the joke was a bad joke, but the term "woke" refers to the scumbags trying to get their coworkers fired over what's essentially a bad joke.
We're not talking about supporting cross dressing, sensible gun control and a women's right to choose since I'm a center right libertarian and I support those things myself. The difference is that those on the left are hyper authoritarian who claim that those who disagree with them are secretly plotting their deaths. I don't care if someone is cross dressing, getting their hair the color of the rainbow, or cutting off their genitals. That's none of my business, the only issue I have is when kids get involved since I believe "trans kids" should wait to take puberty blockers until they reach 18 just like how they have to wait to drink a beer, join the army and getting a tattoo. That said the trans community has been extremely toxic when it comes to online discourse trying to get online communities that disagree with them banned and advocating for censorship rather than challenging bigotry where it stands.
As for guns, I kinda agree. I don't believe that the mentally ill should own a gun since it can be a hazard to themselves and others, however I also believe like a car, a gun is only a tool and those who are responsible with their firearms should be able to own assault weapons since the founding fathers even had cannons on their property. Do I believe there should be limitations? Yes, but at the same time Government overreach is always a bad idea. That said there's clear applications for when government needs to be involved such as the private sector trying to remove competition and police the free market through ESG scores. I can make an argument on how ESG is a massive threat to our democracy and should be outright banned by the government, but that's an argument for another time.
That said, while I support your right to believe whatever the fuck you want. I also ask that you tolerate those who disagree with you like I tolerate those who want to get me fired because I made a joke to my friends on twitter. What he means by "woke communist" is basically those who support the censorship of ideas, I prefer the term Rainbow Capitalism since it's exploiting LGBT people for profit and convincing them to blindly buy product while shielding them from criticism by censoring those who disagree.
My issue personally with the entertainment, gaming and tech industry isn't that they're left wing, but rather that they try to remove everyone who's right wing. You'll see a lot of industry people freely bash Donald Trump and whatever, however try the inverse and suddenly you have a meeting with HR and are on the verge of getting fired. That's what "woke" is, not when Desantis or Trump bitches about trans shit. That by itself is not "woke" but rather is just a symptom of Rainbow Capitalism and those who support censorship of those who have different ideals. There's a reason Jewish lawyers back in the day defended the free speech rights of neo nazis, it's because by censoring neo nazis you only give them more power and validate their beliefs. While I personally find both Neo-Nazism and Communism utterly disgusting, I support their right to be stupid. Not because I agree with either beliefs, but because I believe we should challenge said beliefs and win over those who believe in said toxic ideologies.
In short: I support your right to do whatever you want, and say whatever you want. However don't come after my job because I called my friend a "fag" because he likes Taylor Swift. I agree that the term "woke" is heavily overused, however despite what some would have you believe, there's obviously a clique of extremists in the industry in power who're trying to censor those who lean center right because they disagree with the rampant tokenism under the "diversity" movement
