One might say that stuffing 60 grams of sugar into a can of soda might be "poison" but the company will go "we're just selling a product the consumer wants", so if the customer wants poison and a company sells enough of it, then it ends up finding a way to be legal, see also: vaping, cigarettes, alcohol, or any other product that kills over time

now if you end up dumping cyanide into a box of Mac and cheese, you'll have a pretty clear problem
