      Winston Smith was killed by agents in a federal task force on June 3, 2021. Ten days later, Deona Marie was killed by a car attack on a protest seeking justice for Winston Smith. Two days after the car attack, on June 15, Minneapolis Police along with sheriffs from a litany of departments, cleared barricades around the protest site on Lake and Girard Ave. Dozens of people were arrested and several were injured through the night from police violence.
