@danirabbit I think it is the point. Being related to more than a few transphobes, my take is that deep down they believe that giving marginalized groups the rights, recognition and respect they campaign for somehow will take something away from them.

This is totally irrational of course. Telling them that doesn't seem to help. Damn shame too because this kind of bigotry has broken the brains of many people who are near and dear to me. It makes me sad.
