@OwenGlasgow I'm married to someone who lived in Cornwall for nearly a decade. In our house, we're never quite sure what we're talking about at any time. And any time I go back to the UK with her, "You call it $thing, we call it $other_thing" is an endless game everyone enjoys.
For example, the shocked looks I get when I explain that, in the US, one does not "alight" from a train, but "exits" it. Or that we have highway exits and not "ways out".
