What she did is probably against corporate policy, I’m sure they’d prefer to avoid potential liability, and they’ll just increase the price of the items to account for theft or close the store down. But even if she isn’t the owner, it still makes sense for her to protect the store because that’s literally the revenue that’s used to pay her salary.
