Putting the Federal Govt into a semi-permanent suspension wherein it is unable to spend money would be generally good for the economy because real value will stop being drained out of the economy and redirected to desk-pilots. So there's nothing really wrong with it. In the end the USD always collapses because neither Ds nor Rs can resist the temptation to print money. It is what it is.
