@SETSystems I appreciate the sentiment, but no, I think it’s incorrect that education can be entirely free in the Internet age.
Education is •relational•, not •transactional•. Human relationships are the most important part of deep education in almost any context. And yes, volunteer interactions on the Internet can provide both materials and relationships, but there will always be need for humans who are dedicated to educating, i.e. teachers. Unless you think labor is free, that requires money.
