I would recommend "Life on a Little Known Planet: A Biologist's View of Insects and Their World" by Howard Ensign Evans instead, first published in 1966.
It's a non-fiction work written by a lovely grump of a man who loved the myriad oddities of the insect world, that's not only filled with information, but is also genuinely well written.
It has a lot of neat excerpts and stories, like that of an entomologist (Lawrence Dunn) who raised botfly maggots in his arm.
