@dharmadudebro @ArdainianRight “Longhouse” sucks because it’s not self-apparent, you have to be inducted into its meaning with a historic lesson. It’s kind of caught on, but it’s too opaque to have legs to get out in wider culture. It’ll age and die off as a minor niche reference and then dwindle to be used solely by guys who were 15-35 when it got popular. It’s a fad.

Most guys using it IRL can hardly explain it to me anyways, they say “it’s like, when women are in charge”. I heard it for more than a year before someone had an explanation of it.

“Lightswitch brain” is higher quality because you can intuit the meaning on its face much easier. Not very catchy, but clear at least. That’s what helps things spread, lets outsiders hear it and reflexively say “ah, that’s good. Never thought of it like that.”
