Adrian Cockcroft#music I like Deep Purple, have seen them play a few times, so I decided to listen to all their albums from the first one in order, reading the relevant Wikipedia pages as I go. The enduring thing I’m noticing is just how good Ian Paice is as a drummer. He’s also the only original member that’s been in every version of the band. So far I’ve listened to the first three albums which were ok, the well known Ian Gillan/Roger Gover period, and just got to Made in Japan, which is an epic live album.
