On #Lemmy, I frequently get federation issues with Lemmy instances. It will work the first one to three weeks, and then it stops receiving or sending tags/boosts. I think Lemmy instances have a code to quickly block other non-Lemmy instances, at the expense of legit users.
Friendica is good, but with Lemmy, redundancy might fail.
