@PinochetsCommieCopter As far as I know, convictions aren't even required. If I remember correctly, self-defense that results in death is categorized as justifiable homicide even if not charged with/acquitted of any crime, and is counted along with all other homicide statistics.

I might be wrong, though, it's been a long time since I looked into this.
