Fediverse is full of sensitive users, including server admins (mostly the ones that bans small instance). So still a place that still has certain capitalism.

Wanna get rid of it? Everyone expects you to switch instance, or self host.

What if, Once you switched to certain instance, the admin starts enforcing certain rules / making certain change in their instance that you do not like? So thinking of switch again? Everytime you switch instance, You are wiping your old posts. this is no good for ones that has good posts (like a photo of them with their siblings).

Self host may be a good solution, But it is also painful if you do not know about shells & programming knowledge. It is way painful when you do not know what to do with securities.
