This is a continuation of previous fundraisers I have done seeking help to get through my disability leave.
I had to separate from my former job after a year of leave due to my medical condition (chronic dizziness) that affected my ability to perform serious manual labor. I am currently collecting long-term disability payments from my former job's insurance, and I am in the process of appealing the denial of my claim for Federal disability benefits. Because my doctor has still held that I am not well enough to re-enter the workforce due to my condition, I cannot apply for new work until this is cleared. In the meantime, while my current disability benefits are enough to cover my major expenses (rent and utilities), I have other bills and expenses like food that come overdue that could potentially impact me.
