When I was still drinking, if I was home alone for a week, I'd basically take the opportunity to binge drink the entire time because no one was around to judge. Now my partner is gone for a week and I've gone to AA every night and gotten a shitload (for me, I'm not usually a prolific writer) of writing done in the evenings. Very drastic difference.
