@mattl I had that box set when it came out. I only played W40k a handful of times, but I painted SO MANY miniatures.

I got my first set of Orks at a garage sale in the 1990's, I had no idea what they were but they were cool and I enjoyed painting them. I brought them to my local hobby store and they helped me discover W40k!

Tons more fun than building the usual model. Loved White Dwarf too.

(I haven't seen any TT Gaming things at Yard Sales in MI since the 90's though)
