Being able to reach out to someone you’ve met in the public square, privately, feels like it’s missing here.

A DM is it’s own kind of thing that should be elevated in the UI/UX.

Having a separate area for DMs, ensuring they’re not publicly exposed, and making them encrypted would all improve the experience.
